This list is just some of the conditions that the National
Institutes of Health (NIH) has recommended as appropriate
for acupuncture treatment. But the list is by no means exhaustive.
In fact, many people who have conditions or a complex of symptoms
for which western doctors have no solution can be successfully
treated with acupuncture. Recent studies have shown that acupuncture
treatment also works for what western medicine would label
as psychological disorders. Because Chinese Medicine sees
the body, mind and spirit as a single whole entity, acupuncture
does not separate mind and body either.
